Friday 16th December – bike *** – Two rivers including lunch at Landguard – Sunny and very cold.

The cold snap continues with another sunny day with temperatures struggling to get above freezing but things are expected to get milder over the weekend:) Usual morning at home then as we haven’t been out on our bikes since 28th November, we decided to risk the ice and take lunch to Landguard. Leaving home just after one, well wrapped up we headed down to the prom turning right for Landguard Nature reserve which was absolutely covered in rabbits, some partridges too. We enjoyed a yummy sandwich with warming cuppa soup on the old pier with just one small coaster coming in before returning to the prom which was fairly busy today. Mag turned up Bent Hill for home while I carried onto Felixstowe Ferry, a quick spin around the boat yard then home the short way across the golf course.
After a lean spell of late in getting pics in the local papers, they are just not using many these days I was pleased to get my 63rd pic of the year on TV, this time BBC’s Look East:)
